Cohort 10 participants collaborated on a quality improvement initiative aimed at addressing what they perceived to be, the urgent need for medication training for staff working in residential care settings.

The group recognised that some care homes have a poor track record in this area and that the consequences of not addressing this issue were serious.

The group also recognised that training on medication management was very clearly aligned to national priorities for upskilling staff and supporting workforce development.
