Recruitment of Staff
Raising the profile of Care Assistants to aid staff recruitment.
During the initial stages it became evident that one area of concern all Managers have is the recruitment and retention of staff, in particular Care Assistants. Therefore, the focus of this quality improvement initiative would be the recruitment process or raising the profile of Care Assistants as it became evident that the importance of their role was not always recognised or rewarded.
This resulted in a professional video to aid not only recruitment of staff but to help promote the Care Home sector as a positive career and workplace choice. This video was subsequently used by NISCC in a major campaign during covid pandemic.
